Dear Community,

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

Alhamdulillah, the blessed month of Ramadan has begun! The crescent moon has been sighted in Chicago, Boston, and other locations across the United States. Therefore, in accordance with the guidance of the Islamic Sharia Council and following the Sunnah of moon sighting, the first day of Ramadan will be tomorrow, Saturday, March 1, 2025, InshaAllah.

As Allah (SWT) commands in the Qur’an (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:189):
“They ask you about the new moons. Say, ‘They are measurements of time for the people and for Hajj…’”

Important Announcements:
🕌 First Tarawih prayer will be held tonight after Isha Salah.
🌙 First fast (Sawm) will be on Saturday, March 1, 2025.

May Allah (SWT) bless us all in this holy month, accept our fasting, prayers, and good deeds, and grant us His mercy and forgiveness. Let us strive to make the most of Ramadan with sincerity, devotion, and unity.

Jazakum Allahu Khairan,

ETHICAL & MORAL BELIEFS THAT GUIDES

Welcome To Maktab

One of the biggest concerns of every Muslim parent living in America is:

How can we protect the Iman and Islamic identity of our next generation?

Have we fulfilled our children’s Islamic educational obligation simply by having him/her complete the recitation of the Quran once. Remember, this does not enable the child to learn the basics of Deen, nor build their Islamic identity. Also the effects of such an education does not survive beyond the four walls of the masjid.
